The Government of Canada is taking immediate, significant and decisive action to help Canadians facing hardship as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak. On March 18, 2020, the Prime Minister announced a new set of economic measures to help stabilize the economy during this challenging period. Read more about these actions here.
Mortgage and credit facility relief being made available by lenders is a temporary solution on a case by case basis determined by need. If you are experiencing a loss of income; whether you are out of work, are sick or quarantined or helping to care for someone who is, and, you do not have any resources to help you during this time, then your lender will work with you to customize a solution.
