Values

I work in an industry that talks about value all the time. I hear things like “ What is the value of my portfolio?” or “what value are you adding?”

Yesterday I was reminded by Shane Gibson of closingbigger.net  that so much of how we experience the world and what value we place on those experiences is based on our own personal values. And, if we understand our values we make better decisions.

I think he’s right. If we know and understand our values, we know and understand if the decisions we are making align with our values. When our decisions are in alignment with our personal values, my belief is, we feel better about our lives. When our decisions are not in alignment with your personal values, my belief is, we don’t feel so good.

So if you’ve never done an exercise to understand your values or if it has been awhile since you reviewed your values, here’s a link to a simple exercise that might help you clarify your values … http://www.integrityconsulting.ca/assessment.php

It may help you decide if you’re getting value as well.
